Origin Story
A few years back we went on a road trip to a music festival in Kentucky. We drank bourbon, listened to blues and realized we were soulmates. A few months later we moved in together. Our mutual love of nature, adventure and building things inspired us to start a wood shop in our spare time.
At Baller Woodworks you can find a variety of useful wares, handmade from local and reclaimed wood. We get all of our wood from two sources: friends and neighbors in our community, or reclaimed wood from old projects that would otherwise go in the trash. With each purchase, you will know exactly the location the wood was sourced.
We want our products to be functional, so you can use them in your daily life. Many of our woodworks are designed for the kitchen or bar because that’s what we know best. We really like to eat and drink. You will also find some art and seasonal decor. We love nature and the unique aesthetics of each season, and that is very much showcased in our work.
We encourage you to avoid buying plastic, mass produced utensils. Please consider handmade, sustainable utensils from local businesses, like Baller Woodworks.
